Welcome to Sequoyah's Media Center!

Hello!  My name is Mrs. Bassier and I am excited to be your students Media Clerk here at Sequoyah!  As part of the Chippewa Valley commitment to fostering a love for reading and learning among our students, I am pleased to introduce you to our Sequoyah Elementary School Library.

I am so proud of our library.  It is more than just a room filled with books; it's a vibrant space where imagination takes flight and knowledge comes alive. With a carefully curated collection of books ranging from beloved classics to the latest in children's literature, our library offers something for every young reader.

I am dedicated in my support of your child's reading journey.  I am passionate about books and am always ready to recommend a great read.  I encourage parents to get involved in our library community! Whether it's volunteering during book fair, donating books, or attending special events like March Is Reading Month, your participation enriches the experience for all students.

Your child will be visiting the library once a week where they will listen to a story (K-2nd) and have time to look for a library book!  They will be able to check out 1 book per week.  Please remind your students to return their library books on their library day!  If their book is not returned on library day, they will not be able to check out a book that week.

In the event that a book is lost or damaged, a fine will be assigned to your student in PaySchools.  Please note that these fines will stay in the PaySchools system until your student graduates.  I try to get fines taken care of ASAP so your student can check out as many books as possible!
